The food is specially developed to be highly nutritious yet light and easy to prepare. To the great delight of our racers it's surprisingly tasty too! Our racers will require about three times their normal calorie intake every day, but will want to spend as little time and energy preparing it as possible. The food packs supplied by First Choice Expedition Foods are ideal to meet these conflicting demands. |
Fischer
|
Fischer are providing the Nordic skis our teams will be using to race across the Arctic ice plains. Fischer are renowned for kitting out the fastest skiers in the world. Although possibly not skiing quite as fast as Fischer's top athletes, our racers will be glad to know they've got the best that money can buy on their feet. |
|
Garmin are generously donating eTrex Vista GPS receivers to each of our racers to carry with them on the 2007 Polar Race. The Polar Race has been using Garmin GPS receivers ever since the first race in 2003. They have been proven to withstand the Arctic elements time and again; never once have they let us down. We are very pleased and proud to be using Garmin receivers again in 2007. |

It has to be adaptable to double as a doctor's surgery or emergency team shelter, and so something out of the ordinary is called for. Many thanks to our friends at Mountain Hardware for coming up with the answer. They have offered to provide us with a tent that fulfills all of our Checkpoint Team's conflicting needs. |
